Nonstop Knight's revenue from advertising can be about $10 thousand per day
Monetization in Nonstop Knight is built with an eye to earning from advertising, and not from IAP, – says Eric Seufert and estimates how much the game can earn on this.
In his brief analysis of the game, the former vice president for acquisition and user engagement of Rovio, notes: “The IAP catalog in Nonstop Knight looks formal. This is a hint that, although the game is free-play, it is not aimed at aggressive earnings. In this regard, it is close to Crossy Road, which resorts to soft stimulation of making IAP purchases and immediately tries to push users to watch rewarded videos.”
Every three hours a player can get some kind of reward (usually gold) for watching the video. According to the expert, this may affect the regularity of sessions. Here we are talking about the fundamental integration of video advertising into a project developed by the Finnish team Kopla Games and published by the German flaregames.
Based on this assumption, Eric decided to calculate how much, in theory, the game can earn, based on the fact that in a month since its release it has reached the mark of 4 million installations.
According to estimates, Nonstop Knight can receive about $10 thousand a day from advertising. As for monthly earnings, if the ratio of advertising revenue to IAP revenue in the game is similar to what is observed in Crossy Road, then the monthly total revenue of the game can be $ 1 million,” writes Eric.
Sefert’s calculations can be seen in the dock at this link.
