ARPPU in Game of War is $550 per year
ARPPU in mobile games reaches an average of $86.5 per year. However, in the case of popular mobile projects, the situation looks different. The paying user leaves $550 in Game of War, – the analytical company Slice Intelligence considers.
For the closest competitor, Summoners Wars, this figure is $327. Next up are Big Fish Casino: Free Slots ($232.67), Castle Clash ($202.26) and Brave Frontier ($156.20).
Clash of Clans, which almost permanently tops the world chart in revenue, closes the top ten projects with the most paying players ($ 112.99).
Slice experts note that most players prefer to spend money only on one platform. Thus, 43% of paying players make purchases only in mobile games, and 37.8% – only on consoles. They pay 19.2% on both platforms.
On average, a paying console user leaves a little more in the game per year than a mobile one – $91.58. However, in large projects, mobile players spend more willingly.
“Many people think that hardcore players are the ones who spend without counting on exciting and complex [console] games, but the data shows that mobile players spend the most,” writes analyst Taylor Stanton in the Slice blog. – The mobile game where the biggest purchases are made is Game of War. On average, it takes a player $550 to make his army competitive. What do Game of War players buy? Gold, which costs an average of $52 per set.”
