Fiksu: CPI on Android dropped in July

CPI on Android OS fell in July. This is reported by the American analytical company Fiksu.

CPI reflects how much the developer spent to ensure that the user downloaded the application (or in this case, the game). In July, its value on Android OS was $1.18, which is 26% less than in June 2015 and 21% less than in July 2014.

On the “apple” platform, the CPI for games has grown. For iOS, the cost per installation in July 2015 reached $1.11. This is 7% more than in the previous month, and 9% more than in the same period last year.

Metrics for both platforms include purchased downloads and organic installations. The CPI on iOS is lower in total than on Android, as iOS developers have started spending more on networks that provide organic downloads.

Now is the right time to launch on both platforms at once, Fiksu analysts say, because the CPI values on iOS and Android have converged.
