Team Cherry is "working to improve" the Chinese translation of Hollow Knight: Silksong after receiving player complaints
Team Cherry has announced efforts to enhance the Simplified Chinese translation for "Hollow Knight: Silksong."
Despite the game enjoying a Mostly Positive rating on Steam, numerous Chinese users have expressed dissatisfaction with the localization, pointing out issues of nuance and accuracy.
Matthew Griffin from Team Cherry acknowledged the concerns via X/Twitter, expressing gratitude for the input and assuring that translation improvements are planned in the upcoming weeks.
"To our Chinese speaking fans: We appreciate you letting us know about quality issues with the current Simplified Chinese translation of Hollow Knight: Silksong," Griffin stated.
"We'll be working to improve the translation over the coming weeks. Thanks for your feedback and support."
Currently, only 38% of reviews for the Simplified Chinese version of Silksong are positive. Nevertheless, the game has achieved an overall Mostly Positive status.
