The founders of Sledgehammer moved to Activision. The translation followed the success of Call of Duty: WWII
Call of Duty: WWII development managers Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield have left Sledgehammer Games studio for executive positions at Activision. Schofield and Condrey founded Sledgehammer in 2009.
The invitation to Activision can be considered a recognition of the merits of Conry and Schofield in relation to the work done on Call of Duty: WWII.
The game earned $1 billion in the first two months and became the highest-grossing title in the United States according to the NPD Group. The collection of the title surpassed the result of all the previous parts of the series over the past 5 years.
Before the triumphant WWII, Sledgehammer Studio worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield are veterans of the gaming industry. Prior to the founding of Sledgehammer Games, they worked at Visceral Games studio and played a key role in the creation of the popular horror franchise Dead Space.
Aaron Halon, who previously served as Senior Director of Development, has been appointed the new manager of Sledgehammer.
