In her complaint, the woman stated that during her time at Activision Blizzard, she was regularly subjected to harassment. The former employee accused 10 men of inappropriate behavior, claiming they repeatedly made sexualized comments about her and engaged in more aggressive actions. For instance, one of them lured her to his home around 2011-2012 and attempted to assault her.
The plaintiff emphasized that she reported the incidents to management and the HR department, but was ignored. According to her, the company's leadership deliberately covered up such incidents, creating a dangerous environment at Activision Blizzard.
The former Activision Blizzard employee is now seeking compensation for damages to her career opportunities and lost wages.
Activision Blizzard stated to the media that it takes the allegations seriously. Microsoft clarified that the lawsuit pertains to alleged events that occurred before the company was part of its organization.
This is not the first lawsuit of its kind against Activision Blizzard. In 2021, the company was already embroiled in a major scandal involving harassment and discrimination against women, but two years later, they settled the case for $55 million.
