The union has accused Rockstar of providing explanations for the dismissals that are "filled with inaccuracies and misleading information"
The Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB) has criticized Rockstar's reasons for the termination of over 30 employees in October.
Recently, Rockstar claimed these individuals were terminated for "sharing and discussing confidential information publicly," which violated company policies and their legal responsibilities.
Rockstar denied that the terminations were linked to any union-related activities or membership, calling such accusations false.
IWGB, responding through GameSpot, stated that Rockstar's explanation is full of "falsehoods and disinformation," suggesting the company is trying to justify the dismissals.
The union expressed that labeling private discussions about working conditions as "leaking information" is misleading.
They emphasized that this statement appears to be an attempt to shift focus away from the global criticism Rockstar has faced recently.
They added that attention comes from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to global game developers protesting Rockstar's actions.
Last week, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer labeled these dismissals as "deeply concerning," with a pledge to investigate.
Scottish Labour MP Chris Murray raised the issue during a session of Prime Minister's Questions.
Murray recounted a meeting with Rockstar, which he said only heightened his concerns over the dismissals.
Murray criticized the meeting's initial demand for MPs to sign an NDA, a requirement later dropped after his refusal to sign.
He remarked that the meeting solidified his unease about Rockstar's dismissal process and its adherence to UK employment laws, questioning the necessity and transparency of their actions.
