Ys Net is contemplating "potential legal action" following the confirmation that a "leaked" video of Shenmue 4 is fraudulent

According to a statement made by the studio, the video in question "was distributed on social media, employing our trademark without approval and deceitfully indicating it is a sanctioned Shenmue 4 video by us." The official statement emphasized that the video is not connected to Ys Net in any manner.

The company further clarified that no legitimate trailers, videos, or any promotional content related to Shenmue 4 have been issued by them up to this point.

Additionally, Ys Net noted that unauthorized usage of its trademark and actions that misguide the audience into believing such content is legitimate pose severe legal concerns, potentially amounting to trademark violation and unfair competition laws.
