Sports Interactive has entered into a new long-term collaboration with FIFA, enabling the integration of official licenses into the Football Manager series. This partnership covers major FIFA events, such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

In a concise announcement, Sports Interactive revealed that from FM26 onwards, official FIFA tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women's World Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup will become part of the game's offering.

The developer mentioned, "This license coincides with the launch of a revamped International Management module in a Content Update next year for FM26, FM26 Console, and FM26 Touch ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26."

According to the update, more detailed features will be shared in due course. However, it is confirmed that FM26 will feature the official kits for all 48 teams competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, along with broadcast graphics and tournament branding.

"We are thrilled to elevate authenticity to an unprecedented level through this initial partnership with FIFA," the developer noted.

Despite a milestone year in 2024 for Football Manager 24, the release of Football Manager 25 was postponed until March 2025 due to substantial setbacks.
