The developers of Hardspace: Shipbreaker have acquired the rights to the game from Focus Entertainment
The studio Blackbird Interactive has announced that the rights to the spaceship dismantling simulator Hardspace: Shipbreaker now fully belong to them. Previously, they shared these rights with the publisher Focus Entertainment.

The developers have not disclosed the amount paid to acquire the rights or any other details of the deal.
Blackbird Interactive has stated that they plan to make Hardspace: Shipbreaker a key part of the studio's future business strategy. They are already working on several new projects within the game's universe, but are not yet ready to fully announce them.
It should be noted that the release of Hardspace: Shipbreaker took place in May 2022 after one and a half years in early access. Initially, the game was released only on PC but later also made its way to PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
According to Blackbird Interactive, "millions" of players have experienced the simulator to date, although the exact figure is not specified. It is reliably known that within the first month since release, Hardspace: Shipbreaker sold more than 500,000 copies.
