Fortnite users now have another opportunity to receive refunds for unapproved transactions, as the US Federal Trade Commission has reopened its claims process.
According to a statement from the FTC, the agency distributed more than $126 million in refunds last week. This involved sending 969,173 checks and PayPal payments to individuals with validated claims.
The deadline for new claims is July 9, 2025, allowing those who have not yet applied to submit their claims.
The initial round of refunds was issued last December when the FTC distributed over $72 million.
In total, more than $200 million has been refunded to Fortnite players due to misleading practices by Epic Games.
In a 2022 agreement, the FTC settled with Epic for $520 million for breaching regulations, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and employing dark patterns.
