The co-founder of Playdead is facing a lawsuit amid an intensifying dispute with the company's other co-founder

Dino Patti, a co-founder of Playdead, is reportedly facing legal action from his former company and partner.
Earlier this year, Patti was warned about potential legal proceedings following a LinkedIn post he shared, which included what was described as an "unauthorized" image of co-founder Arnt Jensen. In the post, he also elaborated on the game Limbo’s development. Jensen allegedly demanded over $73,000 as compensation for the post, according to Patti, who noted receiving similar demands for nearly a decade.
Patti departed from Playdead in 2016. Information surfaced in 2017 concerning the difficult separation between Playdead’s leadership, as a Danish newspaper highlighted the conflict with creative director Arnt Jensen. More recently, Patti asserted that changes were made to the credits of Limbo, transforming his title from "director of development" to "executive producer."
Speaking with Arkaden, Patti explained that the letter warned him about continuing to use Playdead’s intellectual property and sharing confidential information for commercial gain, which it claimed was a violation of confidentiality agreements.
The letter elaborated, suggesting that by sharing insights about the development of Limbo, Patti was misleading others about the extent of his involvement in the project, implying he had a substantial and creative role, as reported by VGC.
Patti expressed his hope that the lawsuit might bring forward proof that contradicts Jensen's allegations against him.
"The advantage here is that journalists such as those from Arkaden can obtain all materials related to the proceedings," he mentioned. "Legally, I won’t be able to withhold anything and will be required to disclose all relevant images and evidence of events as they unfolded."
