A U.S. court has rejected an urgent motion filed by Apple in its ongoing legal battle with Epic Games

A United States court has rejected Apple's urgent request to halt a ruling that stops it from charging fees on transactions through alternative app marketplaces.
Apple is contesting a court decision from last month, which is part of its ongoing legal conflict with Epic Games regarding "anticompetitive" fee structures and developers' inability to use other payment avenues.
According to CNBC, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit indicated that Apple must demonstrate circumstances that warrant relieving its discretion.
After considering various factors, the court decided a suspension of the order is not warranted.
Apple expressed its intention to persist with its legal efforts throughout the appeals period.
"As we've stated previously, we strongly oppose the district court's ruling," an Apple spokesperson remarked. "We aim to maintain the App Store as an exceptional opportunity for developers and a secure and reliable platform for our users."
On June 2, the European Commission directed Apple to comply with its Digital Markets Act (DMA), requiring the company to update the App Store within less than 30 days to allow developers to offer alternative payment methods for their applications.
