The journalists obtained this information from the data of the State Tax Inspectorate under the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance.

Specifically, they found that the Lithuanian branch of Wargaming remains one of the largest taxpayers among all IT companies in Lithuania, and not just those originating from Belarus. It ranks fifth. From January to March 2025, the company contributed €2.94 million in taxes to the state treasury — 2% less than the previous year.

For comparison, here is the size of Wargaming’s quarterly tax contributions in 2024:

  • January-March 2024 — €2.97 million;
  • April-June 2024 — €2.99 million;
  • July-September 2024 — €4.29 million;
  • October-December 2024 — €3.02 million.

Other gaming-related companies mentioned in the dev.by article include Moon Active (the Lithuanian office of Moon Active was formerly Melsoft) and Belka Games. They paid €1.2 million and €0.1 million in taxes in Lithuania, respectively, over the quarter.
