The bankrupt creators of RiME and Deadlight have put the rights to their games up for auction

In November 2024, the Spanish studio Tequila Works announced that due to a crisis in the gaming industry, it was forced to begin bankruptcy proceedings. Nearly six months later, the team started auctioning off its intangible assets.

A total of nine lots have been put up for auction. For example, interested parties can purchase the trademarks for the games RiME, Deadlight, The Invisible Hours, and GYLT, as well as the rights to operate these titles and receive royalties from publishers for sales. The lot with Deadlight also includes a demo version of a sequel, which can be further developed into a full game.

Additionally, Tequila Works is selling rights to several unfinished games along with their vertical slices. Among them are The Ancient Mariner, Dungeon Tour, and Brawler Crawler.

So far, the most interest from auction participants has been in the lots with RiME and GYLT — 150 bids have been placed for their acquisition.

Tequila Works plans to conduct the auction until May 14.
