The game Silent Hill F has not been classified as "Refused" in Australia, as reported by the Australian Classification Board.

The listing for Silent Hill F, originally posted on March 14, 2025, has been taken down, according to a statement to Stevivor.

The Australian Classification Board stated, "Silent Hill F is not currently listed as 'Refused Classification' in Australia."

They further noted, "The record on the National Classification Database has been deleted. An official classification decision will be updated on the database before the game's launch."

Stevivor suggested that the initial listing might have resulted from a mistake using an ACB self-reported tool.

A representative from the ACB informed GamesIndustry.biz that the ratings from this tool, which is overseen by the International Age Rating Coalition, are "submitted by developers in the self-reporting phase."

As detailed by IGN, this classification tool is specially intended for mobile and digital game distribution.

The IARC tool involves developers filling out an online questionnaire about their game, after which a rating is automatically generated for applicable regions and posted on the ACB's National Classification Database.

This month, Konami introduced a fresh cinematic trailer for Silent Hill F. Meanwhile, the game has been given an 18+ rating in Japan, marking the first instance of this rating for the series.

Previously, the Australian Classification Board refused classification for Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact last year over "implied sexual violence."
