Playdead confirmed that it accused the studio's co-founder of violating its rights due to an image on LinkedIn

The Danish studio Playdead is indeed demanding that its co-founder and former CEO Dino Patti pay $72,600 in compensation due to a post on social media. The studio confirmed its claims in a comment to the portal Game Developer.

Recall, this is about a now-deleted LinkedIn post in which Patti discussed the development of Limbo. As an illustration, Patti attached game-related artwork to the post, which is exactly what Playdead disapproved of.

Playdead reported that Patti used its "trademarks and copyrighted works in a commercial and marketing context." This is prohibited. Moreover, Patti could potentially harm the business and reputation of the studio, so they decided to charge him with infringement.

Previously, Patti himself stated that the claims from Playdead are part of his long-standing conflict with the studio's other founder, Arnt Jensen. According to the developer, Jensen has been threatening him with various legal actions for over nine years. Whether this is true, Playdead has not commented.
