The Advertising Standards Authority in the UK has prohibited five advertisements related to social casino games, citing that they were deceptive.

The authority brought into question ads by Gamehaus, Huuuge Global, Mobee Co, SpinX, and Zeroo Gravity Games. It stated that these advertisements "did not clearly communicate" that there was no possibility of winning or withdrawing actual money.

All the ads, which were promoted on TikTok, were eliminated for creating “misleading perceptions” and subsequently assessed by the ASA.

The ASA remarked, "These decisions are a part of a broader effort concerning ads that resemble gambling, identified for scrutiny based on acquired information."

They further clarified, "Regulations are unambiguous that advertisements must not mislead by suggesting users can obtain real-world rewards when this is not true."

Additionally, Mobee Co has been referred to the Committee of Advertising Practice's compliance division. The ads in their current versions are not to be used again.

TikTok informed the ASA that their platform has specific restrictions regarding social casino game advertisements. This includes barring any content that implies users might earn actual money or compares these activities directly to gambling. Consequently, all the ads have been withdrawn.
