The authorities found violations in 266 games, 60% of which were from foreign developers. The names of the games are not provided. According to media reports, among the Korean companies violating the law are KRAFTON, Com2uS, and Nexon.
The creators of 185 games have already corrected the violations. The others face a fine of 20 million won (14,400 USD) and a ban on distributing the game in South Korea. In some cases, developers might also face up to two years in prison.
