The Moscow court ordered to seize the accounts of the former beneficiaries of "Game Insight" (including Igor Matsanyuk)

The court proceedings in the case of the recognition of the Russian “Game Insight” bankrupt have reached a new stage. The Arbitration Court of the city of Moscow not only decided to seize the accounts of people connected with the attempt to leave Russian employees of the company without salaries, but also ordered to recover about € 2 million from the Lithuanian Game Insight.

Mystery Manor

For those who have forgotten the background, a summary of the previous series:

  • last spring, Game Insight, under the leadership of the former management, withdrew all available funds from Russia and tried to self-destruct, leaving several hundred employees without salaries and compensation;
  • In parallel, the Date Code company was established, which invited several dozen people from Game Insight to work to support games owned by Game Insight;
  • Now, as part of the bankruptcy procedure, Game Insight, under the leadership of management unrelated to Game Insight, is demanding to recover money from the former beneficiaries of the company in order to pay them to former employees.

What happened in connection with the case last week?

On July 18, the decision of the Arbitration Court of Appeal of the city of Moscow was issued. According to him, the funds of eight persons should be seized on the territory of Russia:

  • Igor Matsanyuk, chairman of the board of directors of Game Insight (it is believed that he was at the origins of the company and was its main investor and owner through the fund imi.vc );
  • Mikhail Vinchel, a member of the imi Foundation.vc, which means co—owner of Game Insight;
  • Grigory Finger, another imi member.vc and co-owner of Game Insight;
  • Alexey Fesenko, nominee director of Game Insight before bankruptcy (all documents on the withdrawal of assets were signed with his name);
  • Anastasia Bubenets, Director of Financial Operations at Lithuanian Game Insight;
  • Igor Shelopaev, Director of “Date Code”;
  • Gennady Tsoi, a former employee of Game Insight, who founded the Uzbek company Tsogen, through which money was transferred to Russia for the “Date Code”;
  • Sergey Avetikov, Game Insight lawyer in Lithuania and Director of Game Insight Holding Limited in Cyprus.

The amount of the arrest is 75.9 million rubles for each.

But here is an important nuance. In this case, the defendants are jointly and severally liable. “If one of them pays off the entire debt, the obligations of other defendants to the debtor will cease,” Kommersant reported with reference to Alexander Spiridonov, a lawyer at the Delcredere Bar Association.

The specified amount is the amount of the company’s salary arrears to 271 employees who opposed the former employer.

Do these individuals have accounts in Russia?

As Denis Kachura, the competitive manager of Game Insight, told us, thanks to whom it became known about the court order, everyone except Winchel and Finger have accounts.

By the way, the court also imposed a ban on the re-registration of real estate owned by:

  • Fesenko (behind him in the Moscow region there are premises for 241 square meters plus a plot of 1,360 square meters);
  • Finger (he has 528 square meters of buildings and premises in the Moscow region).

This property may well “go under the hammer” if the court decides to recover funds from these persons. It hasn’t come to that yet.

However, the Moscow court decided to recover from the Lithuanian Game Insight. This also became known last week.

According to the decision, the principal debt is €1.9 million. This is the money that Game Insight did not receive from Game Insight for development.

According to the open reports of the Lithuanian Game Insight, its revenue for the past 2022 amounted to €40.9 million (€20 million less than in 2021). At the same time, net profit reached €2.3 million (the company ended 2021 in the red by €6 million).

According to App Magic, Game Insight still continues to make money from its games. Its revenue for June was about $ 780 thousand. Hidden Mystery Manor earns the most per month — in the region of $ 200 thousand.
