EA: Trade unions and AI regulation can harm the company's business
Electronic Arts (EA) has updated the list of risks to the company’s business, adding two items to it. She began to fear that her employees would unite in a trade union, and the authorities would regulate the AI market.
In the document, EA pointed out that developers are increasingly creating trade unions. Associations appeared, for example, in Activision Blizzard and ZeniMax Media. This situation does not please EA. According to the company, if a significant part of its employees decide to follow their example, it will significantly affect the work of EA.
As for AI, the company is confident that the control of the authorities will prevent the normal use of neural networks when working games and adding them to titles. As a result, EA’s costs will increase, because it will have to comply with new requirements, revenues will fall and, possibly, its reputation will deteriorate.
