Media: Meta* won a court case on the purchase of a VR developer Within Unlimited
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) failed to block a deal between Meta* and Within Unlimited. The District Court of California allowed the company to buy the developers of the Supernatural VR game, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
The antimonopoly regulator may try to challenge the court’s decision. He has a week to do it.
Recall that the FTC sued Meta* in July last year. As the regulator stated at the time, such a deal would allow Meta* to become a monopolist in the market of fitness games for virtual reality.
*The company’s activities are prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation.
