Microsoft again tried to convince the FTC that its deal with Activision Blizzard does not harm the gaming industry

Microsoft has sent an official response to the lawsuit of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). In the documents, she indicated that she is not such a big player in the game dev industry.

In particular, Microsoft once again reminded that it is inferior to Sony and Nintendo in the number of consoles sold and game exclusives released. The corporation also stressed that it is almost not represented on the mobile market and the purchase of Activision Blizzard will have little impact on the situation — last year both companies together were responsible for only 4% of the market revenue.

Separately, Activision Blizzard commented on the FTC lawsuit. She said the commission is “blinded by skepticism about big tech companies’ deals.” The publisher is sure that the FTC has no legitimate reason to ban the transaction.
