Ireland introduces tax deduction for European developers
The Irish government has announced that it is ready to reimburse developers up to 32% of the cost of producing games. According to The Irish Times newspaper, companies from the European Economic Area will be able to claim the deduction.
According to the terms of the tax program, the budget of the games should be at least € 100 thousand. The maximum amount that developers will be able to return is €25 million.
The program has not yet entered into force, but it is assumed that it will be possible to apply for a tax deduction from January 1, 2023.
