Meta* urged the court to dismiss the FTC lawsuit prohibiting the purchase of a VR developer Within Unlimited
The company claims that the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the lawsuit is guided by assumptions and “ignores the facts with the law.”
The FTC sued Meta* on July 27. The agency opposed the purchase of the company Within Unlimited, which developed a fitness game for Supernatural virtual reality. In his opinion, a deal between Meta* and a VR developer could “kill” competition in the nascent market of VR applications for performing physical exercises.
*The company’s activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation.
