In South Korea, a class action lawsuit was filed against Kakao Games

Users of the game Uma Musume: Pretty Derby appealed to the court. According to Sedaily, initially more than seven thousand gamers wanted to participate in the trial, but so far only 201 people have been allowed to participate.

There are two reasons for discontent. Firstly, Kakao Games recently shut down Korean game servers for maintenance without warning right before the end of a major event in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby. Secondly, the company provided Korean gamers with fewer in-game items than gamers from Japan.

The authors of the lawsuit estimated the damage from the company’s actions at $6.4 million.
