The British regulator plans an in-depth investigation of the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard

The UK authorities are not yet ready to approve the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. The local regulator, in particular, fears that Microsoft may use control over Call of Duty, World of Warcraft and other franchises to harm competitors.

However, an in-depth investigation can be avoided. It will not be if the companies prove in the coming days that the deal will not harm the industry.
