Court rejects lawsuit against Epic Games over "stolen" dance in Fortnite
In March, choreographer Kyle Hanagami accused Epic Games of plagiarism, saying that the developers copied his dance for the emotion It’s Complicated in Fortnite. However, the US District Court was not convinced by Hanagami’s arguments.
Judge Stephen Wilson considered that dance and emotion have few creative elements in common, so It’s Complicated does not infringe copyright.
