The authors of one of the lawsuits against Activision Blizzard no longer have any claims against the company

The parents of Kerri Moynihan, an Activision Blizzard employee who committed suicide during a business trip with her boss in 2017, have changed their minds about suing the publisher. They asked the court to dismiss their claim “with prejudice.” This means that it cannot be submitted again.

Moynihan’s death without using her name was first mentioned in a lawsuit by the California authorities in July 2021. Then DFEH pointed out that the girl had been harassed more than once in the company, and at one of the corporate parties male colleagues distributed her intimate photos.

In March 2022, the parents of the deceased employee sued Activision Blizzard. They stated that what was happening at work “played a significant role” in their daughter’s suicide. Activision Blizzard itself claimed that these events are not connected in any way.

Why the plaintiffs decided not to continue the proceedings is not disclosed.
