Media: Sony has filed a class action lawsuit for 280 million rubles due to the suspension of work in Russia
Sony has new problems. According to Vedomosti, at the end of last week, 28 Russians filed a lawsuit against the company in the Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow. They are unhappy that they have not been able to use the PlayStation Store and buy games since the beginning of March.
According to the plaintiffs, there is no clause in the terms of use of Sony services that would allow it to unilaterally refuse to provide services “in connection with the internal and foreign policy of the state of location and residence of users.” Russian legislation also does not allow this. This means that the company violated the rights of console owners, the plaintiffs are sure.
Now the participants of the court demand that Sony not only return them access to the PlayStation Store, but also pay moral compensation — 10 million rubles each.
