Epic Games sent a petition to the court against Google — because of the ban of the payment system in Bandcamp
Yesterday Epic Games started a new confrontation with Google. This time at the center of the scandal is the Bandcamp music platform, which the company bought in early March.
According to the new Google Play rules, by June 1, Bandcamp (along with other similar applications) must abandon its own payment system in favor of the Google system. If she does not do this and does not agree to pay a 10% commission, then she will be removed from the store.
Now Epic Games is asking the court to temporarily ban Google from removing Bandcamp.
