China has accused Subway Surfers and a number of other games of violating the cybersecurity law
The Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China has published a list of games that violate local laws on privacy and cybersecurity. Among them are Subway Surfers, Plants vs. Zombies 2 and other popular projects.Analyst Daniel Ahmad drew attention to the news last weekend.
- do not ask for permission to collect data;do not specify all the permissions that the user agrees to;
- they do not indicate the reasons and the amount of data collected;
- they do not provide the ability to delete user information and accounts.
- In his message, Ahmad cited the following projects as an example: Subway Surfers, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Peacekeeper Elite, Anipop and the Talking Tom series of games.
Now companies have to fix the problems indicated in the appeal, as well as remind users of precautions before using certain applications.
