The creators of Samurai Siege have attracted investments of $ 7 million
London—based mobile game developer Space Ape Games raised $7 million during the investment roundC. The amount of investments invested in the studio since its foundation in 2012 has reached $11 million, according to the Gamasutra resource.
The round was led by the Northzone Venture Capital Fund. In addition, funds came from investors Connect Ventures, Initial Capital and Accel Partners, which had already invested in the developer before.
The company, which is led by John Earner, former executive director of Electronic Arts, plans to spend money on staff expansion, as well as on further development of its new project Rival Kingdoms: Age of Ruin.
The project was announced as a shareware strategy. The script for it is being created with the participation of Rhianna Pratchett. The daughter of the famous Terry Pratchett has already participated in the creation of games: she owns the authorship of the script for the game Tomb Raider.
Recall that the studio has already managed to mark itself in the mobile game market with the title Samurai Siege, which was inspired by Clash of Clans.
