The creators of the game Real Steel will acquire game studios in Europe and America
Reliance, an Indian publisher and game developer, has announced its intention to acquire mobile game studios in Europe and North America, according to GamesIndusrty.
"We are going to decide on the purchase in January and February," said Manish Agarwal, CEO of the company. "Games are a big piece of the entertainment industry pie, and Reliance is going to take a bite out of it."
Reliance, according to management, will spend between $2 and $5 million on the acquisition of game studios. With such funds, they are unlikely to be able to acquire a large company. This means that Reliance will have to limit itself to buying small indie studios for now.
