Tencent and LINE Group invested $100 million in Creative Lab

Two companies that own the most important messengers in the Asian market, Tencent and LINE Group, have invested $100 million in Creative Lab.

With the funds received, the leading Korean game developer will have the opportunity to expand its presence outside South Korea and prepare for an IPO in 2015.

Tencent is one of the largest Internet companies in China. It was founded in 1998. Among its developments are the messengers QQ and WeChat, whose total MAU is more than 1 billion. Tencent accounts for 30% of China's mobile market.

LINE is an application for smartphones and PCs, a means of instant messaging (text, audio and video calls, file transfer). Developed by NHN Japan, NHN Corp, now operated by the Japanese company Line Corporation. The application is most popular in Asian countries. In its segment, it is one of the most financially successful, as it offers users to buy products in Line Games that can be played together with an interlocutor.
