The French publisher and game developer Ankama has acquired Wizcorp.

The Tokyo-based Wizcorp company not only creates online and mobile games, but also is the author of its own MAGE game engine based on the Node platform.js, as well as develops and maintains its own software for games and applications.

Camille Chafer, head of Ankama, said that the purchase of Wizcorp will help the company expand its influence in the Japanese market.

"Wizcorp will play a key role in supporting various types of our engines and software, and, of course, they will help us increase our development capacity," Shafe said.
