Cloudcade is the brainchild of former Ubisoft president Johan Eile and programmer from Deus Ex: Human Revolution Nicolas Babin. Together they are going to release a game with synchronous cross-platform multiplayer. The title will be a shareware simulator in a fantasy style. The authors themselves describe it as “The Sims plus FarmVille”.
The game will be built on a modified version of the Unity engine.
The project will be focused primarily on the Chinese mobile market. Indirectly, this is confirmed by the fact that IDG Capital specializes primarily in investing in a product for the Asian consumer.
CEO of Cloudcade Di Hang (Di Huang) is sure that the decision to be released directly to China is more than justified, since this region is now commercially attractive.
