Android got access to the SNES game database
Owners of Android smartphones and tablets who are nostalgic for console retro games received a gift – Libretro has released a RetroArch Android emulator that allows you to run vintage toys on Android.
The list of emulated devices is extensive – NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive, Sega CD / Mega CD, PSone, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, GBA and Virtual Boy. It supports USB and Bluetooth gamepads. Judging by the first responses, the emulator works without “brakes”, however, there are some critical comments about its interface.
The developers describe their product as a “modular multi-system emulator”. By the way, they also made versions of it for Windows, Mac, Xbox 360 and Wii. The application is free and works on devices equipped with Android 3.0 and higher.
