Xsolla has acquired the browser game platform GamePix, which features a catalog of over 10,000 projects

Xsolla announced the acquisition of the Italian platform GamePix, which is involved in the publishing and distribution of browser games.

Xsolla reported the acquisition on October 29th. However, as noted in the press release, GamePix became part of the company back in August 2026. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

GamePix has been operating since 2013. Currently, its catalog includes more than 10,000 browser games, and the number of developers collaborating with the platform exceeds 4,000. The company distributes projects through its own website, apps, and a network of partners, including media companies and telecom operators.

Moreover, GamePix has its own technology for porting games for PC and mobile devices into browsers. It supports projects created with Unity and C++, and according to the company, it allows for reducing the download size by up to 90% without the need to install the game on a device.

After integration with Xsolla, GamePix developers will gain access to its payment infrastructure. The companies aim to combine tools for publishing, distribution, and monetization of games within a single platform.

Xsolla is particularly focused on projects created using generative AI. The company claims that developers of such games will be able to connect to GamePix's infrastructure directly from AI tools and publish projects in a matter of minutes.

Chris Hewish, President of Xsolla, explained that acquiring GamePix is intended to help developers bring games to browsers faster and find their audience. According to him, the company plans to work with owners of large catalogs of PC and mobile games, as well as small teams using AI for development.
