GamesIndustry.biz is set to hold a panel discussion at the Game Republic Investment Summit during MCM Comic Con in October 2026

GamesIndustry.biz is set to feature a panel at the Game Republic's Investment Summit, taking place on October 23 during MCM Comic Con.

The summit, located at ExCeL London's Capital Suite Room 1, will run from 12:30 to 5:30pm. It includes five presentations covering topics like game funding, studio sustainability, and leveraging original intellectual property for long-term value.

Jon Hicks, the editorial director of GamesIndustry.biz, will moderate an Investment Panel from 4 to 4:45pm. Panelists will include Lirui Ding of Transcend Fund, Creative UK's Nick Cavander, Steel City Interactive's Ash Habib, and Cassia Curran of Curran Games Agency.

Other sessions at the Investment Summit feature:

• An interview with Chris Dring from The Game Business speaking with John Romero, co-founder of id Software, and designer Brenda Romero, from 1 to 1:45pm.
• Nicholas Lovell of Split Milk Studios will share his insights from 2 to 2:30pm on using community engagement and Kickstarter for game funding in a talk titled 'Find Your Goblins.'
• Chris Filip, Anna Mansi, and Jordan Allwood from BFI will update attendees on the UK Global Screen Fund and related initiatives between 2:35 and 2:50pm.
• A discussion led by Helen Johnson of UKIE with Eloise Singer, CEO of Singer Studios, from 3 to 3:30pm will explore strategies for capital acquisition and franchise development.

The MeetToMatch networking sessions will take place from October 23 to 24, held from 10am to 5:30pm in Capital Room 6, along with a mixer event at The Waterfront Restaurant at ExCeL starting at 5:30pm.
