Everplay, the owner of Team17, has boosted its stake in Bulkhead, the developer behind Wardogs, while highlighting robust financial results for fiscal year 2026

The owner of Team17, Everplay, anticipates positive results for the full fiscal year, with Bulkhead's game "Wardogs" and Expression Games' title "Hell Let Loose: Vietnam" surpassing expectations.

Following the favorable reception of "Wardogs" since its early access phase began on September 10, Everplay has expanded its interest in Bulkhead.

Previously, Bulkhead was under Tencent's ownership, but it was sold last December to a consortium, which includes Everplay, Super Media Group, and Hiro Capital.

In their unaudited financial report for the six months ending June 30, 2026, Everplay noted an 8% reduction in revenue, down to £66.9 million, while profits dropped 29%, totaling £23.9 million.

In spite of these declines, the revenue from Everplay's existing catalog rose by 1.2% to £64.3 million, encompassing over 150 different titles.

Four new games were released during the first six months of the year: "Lumentale: Memories of Trey," "Sintopia," "Wardrum," and "Rogue Point."

Subsidiary StoryToys experienced a 43% boost in revenue, a 22% rise in active subscribers reaching 408,000, and total downloads exceeding 18 million.

Investment in game development by Everplay increased by 14% to £16.4 million, allowing for development on 20% more titles compared to the previous year.

Original concepts and first-party intellectual properties account for 65% of currently developed games.

Mikkel Weider, CEO of Everplay, emphasized, "Our back catalogue showed continued strength despite a lack of major new releases, highlighting the solid base of Everplay."

He further mentioned, "With a robust financial standing, a strong catalog, an expanding lineup of first-party intellectual properties, and creative third-party offerings, we are well placed for accelerated growth."
