SteamDB has been acquired by Nexus Mods

Nexus Mods has taken ownership of SteamDB, a prominent platform for tracking data concerning Steam.
The two entities have confirmed that SteamDB will maintain its current identity, branding, and user base. The financial details of the acquisition have not been made public.
This development was revealed on September 2 through statements issued by SteamDB's creator, Pavel "xPaw" Djundik, and Nexus Mods.
Having established SteamDB in 2013, Djundik admitted that managing the platform had become an "ever increasing self inflicted workload." Although community contributions primarily fund its operations, Djundik began searching for a collaborator in January.
In his words, "What mattered most to me was finding a team that understands what it means to be responsible for something the community depends on."
Nexus Mods itself underwent a change in ownership when Chosen acquired it in June 2025. The founder, Robin "Dark0ne" Scott, indicated his decision to step down from daily operations was prompted by what he believes to be in "my and the community's best interest," as detailed in his statement regarding the shift in the site's ownership.
