It seems that part of the development team for the spy puzzle series I Expect You To Die has been laid off
Several employees of Schell Games have posted on LinkedIn about layoffs at the studio. Their posts were noted by the Game Developer portal.

It is unknown exactly how many people lost their jobs. According to Game Developer's observations, it is no less than 14, but this cannot be confirmed with certainty.
Notably, these could be the first mass layoffs in the long history of Schell Games. In 2024, the studio's CEO Jesse Schell stated that he had never had to reduce staff due to one critical principle—prioritizing people over profit. It seems that over the past two years, Schell has changed his stance.
Schell Games was founded in 2002. Since then, it has released numerous games, but gained the most recognition for the I Expect You To Die series. The studio also contributed to Until You Fall, Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire, Innercube, and (as a co-author) Among Us 3D.
