Razer has announced the acquisition of assets from StreamElements, a platform geared toward cloud-based live streaming.

This acquisition pertains to assets only, not the entire company. As a result, Razer gains control of StreamElements' technology, brand, and operations, while Live Momentum remains responsible for existing financial obligations, including pending payments to creators before the transaction.

StreamElements offers a variety of tools for creators, such as custom overlays, stream alerts, chatbots, tipping pages, and sponsorship management. Razer confirmed that the tipping feature will remain unaffected.

Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO, stated, "Content creators and live streamers have been crucial to the Razer community for a long time."

"StreamElements has developed something that millions of creators use daily. By integrating them into Razer, we can enhance the support we provide to creators," he added.

Or Perry, StreamElements co-founder and CEO, commented, "Razer recognizes the deep-rooted connection creators have within this community, and they are equally committed to excellence."

Razer aims to enhance connectivity between StreamElements and its current lineup of creator-oriented products, such as Razer Chroma, Razer Gold, Razer Silver, and Razer ID, over time.

The financial specifics of the agreement have not been released by either organization.

Recently, Tan remarked that consumers reject "generative AI slop" and instead seek tools that enable developers to create superior games.
