The milestone of 50,000 copies sold was announced by Danila Kamenev, Head of Publishing at Indie GO Fund, on his Telegram channel "Tired Publishing." According to him, A Game About Chopping Trees reached this number on July 26—just one and a half weeks after its release.

By the time of writing this news article, the simulator had garnered a "Very Positive" rating on Steam (85%) based on 660 reviews. More than half of the reviews (55.4%) were submitted by English-speaking users, followed by reviews in Russian (17.8%), and completing the top three were reviews in German (8.3%).
