They emphasized that Pragmata is a game from a new franchise, predominantly developed by young developers, yet this did not prevent it from performing well. According to Capcom, the success was achieved due to active marketing of Pragmata, the release of a demo version, and the simultaneous launch of the game on Nintendo Switch 2 along with other platforms.
Capcom did not disclose the sales breakdown by platform, but it is likely that the lion’s share went to consoles. This is suggested by the online peak of the Steam version of Pragmata, which reached 68,687 players at its peak.
It's worth noting that not only did Pragmata show good sales, but it also received a warm reception overall. It was praised by both critics and gamers. Pragmata currently holds a score of 88 out of 100 on Metacritic, and its rating on Steam stands at an "overwhelmingly positive" 96% based on 9,600 reviews. Many appreciated the pleasant gameplay of the game, calling it surprisingly comfortable. The visual aspect, storyline, and optimization of Pragmata also earned approval.
