Google Play has unveiled a range of new updates aimed at enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of its games available on both PC and mobile platforms.

At the GDC Festival of Gaming, Google introduced the "buy once, play anywhere" initiative alongside new paid titles and game trial options, aiming to appeal to the 160 million users on its You tab.

This new pricing model, effective from today, allows users to purchase select paid games such as Dungeon Clawler, OTTTD, and the Reigns series and access them on both mobile and PC without making an additional purchase.

Google addressed gamers with this message: "To assist you in making informed purchase decisions, we are launching Game Trials, allowing you to experience the full version of a paid game for free. If you choose to buy it, your progress is saved, letting you continue seamlessly."

The Game Trials option will initially be available for some paid mobile games and is planned to be extended to Google Play Games on PC later.

Additionally, Google aims to facilitate user interaction through game-related questions within Community Posts, currently available only in English and for certain games. Expansion to more languages and games is anticipated "soon."
