Aristocrat sold part of Big Fish Games' assets — they were acquired by different companies

She did this as part of a strategic review of the gaming portfolio: Aristocrat has recently been paying more attention to social casinos. Previously, for this reason, Aristocrat sold Plarium, known for RAID: Shadow Legends.

Recall that for the first time, the gambling company Aristocrat announced it was considering the sale of casual game developer and publisher Big Fish Games back in May 2024. Nearly a year later, in February 2025, they stated they would not be divesting Big Fish Games, but would instead restructure the division and stop allocating funds for new games. However, by October of the same year, Aristocrat changed their mind again — in the annual financial report, they wrote about plans to part ways with Big Fish Games.

Currently, in a comment to PocketGamer, representatives of Aristocrat stated that the gambling company has concluded three separate deals to sell a range of Big Fish Games’ assets. In each deal, different groups of investors were the buyers. Aristocrat did not specify which assets were sold or at what price.

It is known that in Aristocrat's portfolio, games such as Big Fish Casino and Jackpot Magic Slots remain.

PocketGamer discovered that BFG Entertainment became one of the owners of Big Fish Games' assets — a company created specifically for this purpose in late last year. In particular, it owns the gaming platform BigFishGames.com.

PocketGamer also found that for some time, JetSynthesys has been the publisher of the puzzle game EverMerge, and 7 Hits Games is listed as the publisher of Gummy Drop. However, whether they acquired these games is not entirely clear.

Aristocrat itself acquired Big Fish Games in 2017 for $990 million.
