South Korea's prominent gaming enterprise, NCsoft, has acquired a significant stake in the Singapore-based mobile games publisher Indygo Group.

According to PocketGamer.biz, the transaction is valued at $103.8 million, granting NCsoft 67% ownership of the company. This move also includes obtaining Vietnam's casual game creator, Lihuhu, which is fully held by Indygo Group.

The acquisition strategy extends to Springcomes, another casual mobile gaming studio, although its transaction details remain undisclosed. NCsoft forecasts the studio will generate KRW 28 billion ($18.9 million) revenue in 2025, marking substantial growth.

Strategy discussions are underway for acquiring several European development studios.

These moves are part of NCsoft's strategic shift towards casual mobile gaming. In August 2025, the company launched its Mobile Casual Center, with leadership from industry expert Anel Ceman, who has experience with Tripledot and Outfit7. Additionally, NCsoft has recruited Anthony Pascale, an expert in user acquisition and data analytics who formerly worked with Miniclip.

NCsoft's Co-CEO, Park Byung-moo, stated, "The acquisition of Lihuhu is a strategic step towards fostering growth in the global mobile casual gaming sector."

He continued, "We aim to make Lihuhu a central hub for casual game development across Asia."

Park also mentioned ongoing negotiations with European studios for potential mergers or acquisitions and emphasized their intent to collaborate internationally in broadening their casual game offerings.

Anel Ceman noted on LinkedIn that Vietnam is thriving in mobile casual gaming due to exceptional talent and rapid development cycles. He expressed optimism about NCsoft's growth prospects, saying, "2026 promises to be an exciting year for hybrid and casual games."

Moreover, NCsoft has acquired a perpetual license for analytics and live operations software from a European company, signaling a further commitment by purchasing an unnamed Slovenian mobile games studio to ensure technological depth.
