Bandai Namco has sold Limbic Entertainment to an undisclosed "private investor"

Bandai Namco has announced the sale of Limbic Entertainment to a private investor who focuses on the video game industry. This decision is a part of Bandai Namco's initiative to realign its portfolio towards areas where the company can produce its most compelling content.
With support from the new investor, Limbic is expected to carry on in its role of developing building and management simulation games, maintaining its leadership, brand name, and identity.
Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, expressed pride in the accomplishments of Limbic's team over the years and extended best wishes for the studio’s future as an independent entity.
Under Bandai Namco’s ownership, Limbic released the theme park management simulation, Park Beyond, in 2023. Prior to this, Limbic was involved in the development of titles within the Tropico and Might & Magic series.
Recently, Bandai Namco has seen notable shifts, including the acquisition of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore by Nintendo and the forthcoming departure of Tekken icon Katsuhiro Harada after three decades at the company.
